BEST WAYS TO DEAL WITH OLD SEWER LINES THAT ARE GIVING YOU TROUBLE.

Old underground sewer lines have given home and business owners trouble scents they where though of. The biggest reason is old pipes are not water tight, and then water can get in or out of a pipe that when tree roots can get in and water can get out and will erode dirt out form under the pipe.
With that in mind cast iron pipe will leak in time, it rusts and it will leak in time. And concrete pipe leaks out even when treaded with sealer, the water will ware the sealer off in time and will turn the bottom of the concrete pipe into a river bed. The best that man has come up with is plastic pipe, but it is not perfect, some chemicals will break down plastic pipe in extreme cases, Terra-cotta pipe is good but the old joints that have grot in them leak, The new terra-cotta that some of the sewer district are working with can stand up the chemicals and are reinforced and have rubber gaskets and will out live all of the pipe before it.
So old pipes will give you trouble its not if, but when the old lines will ware out. Lines that are concrete, terra-cotta, cast iron, Orangeburg and transite pipe all have trouble with being water tight, and water can get in tree roots can too.
A sewer inspection can help you to see what is going on in and what type of pipe you have in your home or business, But if you have a home or building that is built before 1970 the pipe that was used will leak and is not water tight at its age.
With older sewer lines, like roofs of a house ware out but with a roof you can see what it looks like, if it looks bad you plan on replacing it in a year or two. But with a sewer line you can't just look at it like a roof, that the trouble with sewer lines. The best way to deal with old sewer lines is to see inside them.
